Dona's initial plan was to edit for two years and transition into directing. However, her passion for editing grew as she learned from other directors and honed her skills. "I always knew that I wanted to get into editing because I wanted to learn about the other directors and how they directed," she shares. The film industry is notorious for its demanding nature, and Dona experienced this firsthand. She recalls the long nights and the toll it took on her colleagues. Yet, she found a balance between her career and personal life, stating, "Being an editor allowed me to stay in the business but have a personal life, a family life as well."

Despite these changes, she remains grounded, understanding that "information and technology changes every six months. You have to be used to the insecurity and you'll never be ahead of it."
